Dr. Suresh Kanasani is a highly accomplished Senior Neurosurgeon, recognized for his academic excellence and advanced surgical expertise. He secured All India Rank 24 and received neurosurgical training from premier national and international institutions, including AIIMS New Delhi, Mayo Clinic, USA, Arkansas Neuroscience Institute, USA, and Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan.

Dr. Kanasani specialized in the management of complex brain tumors and skull base lesions, with a special focus on endoscopic and minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques.
As a key member of the neuroradiosurgery team, Dr. Kanasani plays an important role in patient selection and treatment planning using the advanced ZAP-X gyroscopic radiosurgery system. With a balanced surgical and radiosurgical perspective, he carefully evaluates each tumor to determine whether it is best managed with conventional surgery, minimally invasive techniques, or non-invasive ZAP-X radiosurgery.

He also specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, routinely utilizing advanced techniques such as UBE — Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy — and monoportal endoscopic spine surgery. By customizing each procedure according to the patient’s anatomy, pathology, and functional needs, he aims to deliver effective treatment with minimal tissue disruption and faster recovery.

With his extensive training at AIIMS he has significant expertise in paediatric neurosurgery cases like Spinal dysraphisms and Craniosynostosis, ETV for complex hydrocephalus.

Dr. Suresh also has vast experience in doing nerve transfers and grafting in complex brachial plexus injuries and DREZOTOMY techniques for intractable pain in brachial plexus injury and selective rhizotomies for severe spasticity in post stroke, paraplegic patients and Cerebral palsy patients.

He uses the state of the art technology in neurosurgery like Kenovo microscope, O-arm, Robotic auto guide biopsy, Thulium laser to get the best results for his patients.

He is known for his humble behaviour and patient centric approach. He carefully explains the disease condition and all the possible treatment options and thoughtfully clarifies all the concerns when the patients and families are overwhelmed by complex medical information.

Apart from his medical expertise, he is a skilled portrait artist. His artistic precision is reflected in his surgical practice, bringing exceptional attention to detail, steady hand control, and refined finesse to every procedure.
